That was in fact a good read. Many people like myself went through the same wanting to work online phase only to quit and try something new. The thing is that your peers, parents, basically everything around is against you when you choose to break out of the norm and take control of your life.
    My mindset is this:
I know my goals, I know what needs to be done.
Yes it’s not easy but stick to it and you will reach your goal.
I just haven’t had the time to relax just yet :-(

    Hello Folusho,
Although Steven’s ebook is quite broad in content, it layed out a very distinct road map in my mind which I’ll work on right now. Yes, it’s true that I started with the wrong foot plunging into this business and was really hooked with all the hype going around the internet. The ebook is indeed a wake up call for me. My big big thanks to you.

Well, this was a refreshing change of pace. :-)

The article will be helpful to those who want to start a business and are a little unsure of where
to start, and what it takes to keep going.

Maybe we should all post it on the wall or refrigerator as a constant roadmap/reminder.

But I have to say that Steven seems to be putting
in a lot of hours for the 123K income, 15 hours a
    day seems a little much.

Maybe he should take a look at Joiner’s site, Simpleology.com the techniques learned there will help you improve your overall effectiveness and it’s free to join, but don’t let free fool you. ;-)

Just to give you a glimpse, here is what you are directed towards:

    • See your day with instant clarity
    • Focus instantly on what´s important
    • Dump the rest (liberation is a click away)
    • Clear your brain of clutter and distraction

Steven is implicitly saying some of this in his
    ebook.

I would like to know more of the details of what
Steven does hour to hour, because he may be in learning mode i.e. studying marketing, copy writing, etc … which really is not working, for some of those hours.

    Anyway, I liked what I read…hats off.

    Ciao,

    Steve Ligon

“Fall out of the sky” luck doesn’t happen to the great majority of us. We get lucky when we plan well, organize skilfully, execute diligently. The good life is about caring for body, soul and spirit.

  11. Rich Says:

Planning your business is essential to success. However, I think that this aspect scares a lot of people off the bat because most people are really not organized.

However it is easy to learn how to be organized if you make it easy on yourself.

When I have coached people, I have told them that they first of all need to buy a datebook/daytimer and commit to writing at least one plan or goal in it every day to take action on the next day.

I also tell them at the beginning to take only 1/2 hour to jot down those goals. No more. The reason I say only spend 1/2 half hour is because anyone can find that amount of time and it is very easy to imagine doing. The good thing about this technique is that you are not really confining yourself to only 1/2 half hour, but you are mentally “priming the pump” to get yourself in the habit of thinking about your business every day.

I then tell them to spend only 1 hour actually working on their goal for that day. Again, anyone cand find an hour to work on something.

Once you have developed the habit of setting and writing a goal (1/2 hour/day) and working on a goal (1 hour/day) you will natirally find yourself in the habit of setting goals and completing some part of those goals every day. You will also find yourself spending more time setting goals and accomplishing those goals as your habit of doing so grows as time goes on.

The bottom line, is get in the HABIT of setting and reaching a daily goal. That is 80% of the battle. Give yourself 30 days to develop that habit and I guarantee you will see results.

This is a good, basic, logical piece of advice. Nothing shocking or new about it – but always a good reminder when we go off track. Thank God it was short and to the point – prolific rhetoric is getting very old in this arena. Although you might want to “fill in some blanks” – it was very refreshing – I’ll keep it on hand.

Steven certainly states how it feels to be underemployed for a long period of time and then have your inlaws say “you need to just get a J.O.B. – any J.O.B.” It is hard to stay motivated when you feel you’re doing everything alone but it’s absolutely essential to put the negative comments from others aside to succeed.

Steve your letter is truthful, understanding, helpful and to the point. I read your letter twice to make sure I understod what you were saying. I started doing this in 1/07 and tried just about everthing there was, friends, relatives, business people, email, leads and all seemed to have failed. I started trying o find someone who could teach me about this market I listen to conference calls video’s on the internet and anyone wh would take the time to talk to me.finally in oct 07 I started listening to some who sounded pretty good and also you or your company and even though I didn’t start off like a jack rabbit I did start moving. I too get up early 6:00am and very seldom get to bed before 10:00 PM. My day is filled with thankfulness desire and trying to help my business to grow. I make a lot of mistakes but if you son’t make mistakes you’lll never learn. You dont know what a person is thinking or desires until you ask and if you don’t ask someone else will believe me. The very person you fail to ask could turn out to be on of the most sucessfull business man you could have known. All anyone can say is No but they could have said YES yiou.ll never know if you don’t ask, I learned a lot from you letter Steve and I am going to post it so I can read it quite often.I do think you left one thing out though and is faith. Faint in yourself, faith in your business, faith in your product, faith in your family, faith in your downline, faith in your upline, faith in God, if you dont have faith you will fail. Thank you steve your letter was GREAT mane people will use it encluding me to build their business and many will look at it with negative look. Have a awsome day and God Bless

    Hi Folusho,

Been a while that I receive email from you. The last one I remembered, was your video few months ago.

On Steve’s article, it’s straight to the point with Eliminating the Negativity & Making a Plan to Running the Business & Research, and giving yourself Time to Relax, which is also Important.

Yes, the ‘How’ is everywhere on the Internet and I had got many of them. Deciding ‘What is it you want to do’ is very key as mention by Steve & ‘Where to Start’ is usually blocking a lot of people wanting to kick-off.

Identifying your niche or find something that you enjoy doing is a fact, that one have to master to prosper on the Internet for the rest of his or her life.

It’s not going to be easy for some as it does happen to me when I took interest to search for Internet Opportunities, bombarded with tons of informations offered on the Internet thus loose forcus on the key objective to identify niche rather than reading and not knowing how to apply and make the right move.

Mastering a subject, is to get one to be able to forcus on what you want to do, avoiding loosing track of your priority, that is to have a business mindset if we want to have results, making a list to guide us alone.

I believe I have loose track on the good points that Steve Wagenheim mentioned & I truely appreciate on brief report that he shared with all that find it beneficial with his true success and sincerity.

I have printed out this good pointers for easier reference & I shall pass it alone to those who need it.

Many Thanks to Mr Steve Wagenheim & Mr Folusho Orokunle for sharing this knowledgeable articles.

    To Everyone Success,

This was undoubtedly a breath of fresh air, coming from someone who obviously knows what he’s talking about. The first thing I noticed was that he made sure it was written correctly–I instantly switch off when I see an article written that is littered with spelling and grammar mistakes. It makes me think that the writer either couldn’t care less, or else that any business ideas that he’s trying to put across haven’t been well researched by him either.

Reading this article, it’s as if Steven could actually read my mind. I spent at least 2 years trying out all sorts of things on the Internet, only to give up after a while, as I was spending money, but not seeing much coming in. As I’m an arthritis sufferer, I decided to set up a blog initially to help others with tips I’ve learned over the years, but once I’ve improved my writing skills, I hope to go on and write a book about it. As I’m bilingual, I’m also signed up with 3 Translation Agencies, in order to bring in some cash at the moment.

Steve’s comments about getting the negative aspects out of our lives should be taken on board by everyone who has read his excellent article.

That was a great “short” read. Too many times during the course of a day, I allow myself to read a bunch of hyped up special reports (freebies) and I come out of it with absolutely nothing to show for it. Wait, excuse me, just more confusion, and of course, LOST TIME.

Over the past several weeks, I have unsubscribed from over 20 different mailing lists. Yep, 20. You can imagine why I would self impose all of that information overload on myself. As bright as I believe that I truly am, I also believe that I am a bit of a masochist. I know I don’t need over half of that crap, but I always feared that I’d be missing something.

I dropped out of the corporate world (on purpose) in June 2006 and have been studying since. Yes, go ahead, you can call me a dumbass. What I have been REALLY doing is inundating myself with information overload and self-imposed myself into a victim-hood mentality. Always fighting myself over the BEST way, which of course, leads to absolutely no action.

I just get involved with too many opinions instead of trying, testing and LEARNING BY DOING.

Folusho has helped me with that with his emails and with my subscribing to IMTv, even though it was only for a week. Can’t take on any more bills, sorry, Folusho.

But it was a nice action step for me. I studied the steps, now have a massive action plan, and this will be my year. I have sworn a consistent and residual daily income of $300/day by June 2008.

Best of luck to all of you and thanks, Folusho, for the great report you shared. An eye-opener to say the least. Treat it like a business because it is. Those that are with me, and those that take action as the report describes, just won’t have to sit in traffic and get dolled up for the man anymore. DECIDE AND DO!

C’mawn, FloSho, tell us ALL about that special site you have been using???

Hi, Folusho, and thank you very much for sharing Steven Wagenheim’s, “The Mindset of the Successful Marketer.”

The most important information that I received from the Steven’s ebook is that one should choose an online business that is enjoyable and of interest to them, and equally important, for which there is an interest or need for the targeted market. I wholeheartedly agree with the author that we have to align ourselves with positivisms (progressive thinkers, enjoyable hobbies and past-times,reading material for further development,etc.). What the mind produces is from a thought..that produces action and thereby..results. Therefore, thought=action=results. I further agree that a business does need a plan that includes its daily operations, expenditures, and also those unexpecteds (Murphy’s Law). A great business plan is “protection-proof” for any business.

The author’s suggestion of finding something “fun” to do in the course of a work day, is mentally soothing..one can readily see the value of this..not allowing “stress” any entry.

In conclusion, a promising marketer or anyone needing to establish a plan, can follow the steps given in this author’s ebook, and put it into practice. It may need some tweaking according to ones needs. For further study of Steven Wagenheim’s writings, I will purchase his latest work, “Basic Copywriting in Plain English along with “Complete Article Writing and Marketing Guide.”

    Hello Folusho,
Let me start by saying how important Internet Marketing TV is to my business. As Steven indicated in his report, staring at the PC Monitor without a real clue about which way to go is not a good feeling even when you know that success is possible. Steven’s report mentioning positivity, the need for a budget, scheduling your activities, and studying both your competition and for new opportunities are all really important; especially the positivity. Without that positivity you’re just attracting failure (ie “The Secret”). But again, for me it was Internet Marketing TV that provided a light at the end of the tunnel! Thanks!

  26. Steven Wagenheim Says:
    January 11th, 2008 at 5:13 pm

    Hi All:

I want to clarify to some who have brought up my 14 hour work day as being a little long for one unless they’re just starting out.

I feel putting the record straight is in order.

Many people feel that in order to be truly successful, you have to get together with a number of JV partners, kick out product after product, and just watch the money come in, putting in no more time than maybe a couple of hours a day to create your products.

While this is certainly something that is possible, it is not the norm. Most of us successful people, like me, work very hard. We don’t rely on others for our success. In five years of Internet marketing, I can count my JVs on one hand. I just don’t actively seek them out.

Does this mean you shouldn’t? Of course not. If you can cut your workload down to a few hours a day, I say go for it.

    Me?

I love what I do. Most of my day is actually spent writing, not because I have to but because I want to. I write as many as 10 articles a day. I’ve ghost written over 1000 articles for the Internet. I don’t do this for the money anymore as it comes in very regularly. I do this because for me, this IS my joy. Outside of my wife and my kid, and my guitar, this is what I love to do, thus the reason for this rather lengthy reply.

If I had more money than I knew what to do with, I would still do what I do. The thought of retirement bores me. Writing, marketing and helping others (and I mean REALLY helping others) is my life.

I don’t expect everybody to agree with my philosophies on life, but they do work for me.

In future articles, I’m going to touch on how to actually go about getting JVs and cutting down your workload. It is possible, but also takes a lot of work.

And of course, by dominating an unknown niche with a high demand (they do exist) you can also do very well without putting in long days. But these are very hard to find.

Anyway, I just wanted to clear that little bit up so you understood where I was coming from.

    Sincerely,

    Steven Wagenheim

Steve’s little book gave me motivation and a mindset that I had lost. I have been jumbled and confused with the little tidbits that I have learned. Now, I feel I am ready to make a plan.

It isn’t turning something on and letting it work while you sleep. You need to get out there, find the info you need, and get your hands dirty. I am glad that I have yet to spend any money for info.

I now know that anything I need to learn, I can learn on my own. Thanks Steve.

Sorry, I can’t give a glowing statement on how good the report was. For me, it didn’t really say anything. Asking questions at forums was good advice. But unless you have a lot of money out front, starting out is expensive. You may be able to afford $7800 for education while you are making $100,000 a year, but while not making that much, you can’t afford that much. It takes more than a mindset. It takes money to possibly make more money. I want to succeed. I want to achieve. I want financial independence. I want to retire and not have to worry about my pension not being a full one because I retired early. I have the mindset. But I still have to have money to be successful.

  31. Folusho Orokunle Says:
    January 13th, 2008 at 2:34 am

Sorry I can’t agree with you Sheila. I have a few personal friends that started million dollar internet businesses with less than $100. One of them started when he was 17 with no prior experience. Not having the money is just an excuse. Just like some people can’t afford cars, so if they need to go somewhere they will either walk, catch a cab, run, or ask a friend to give them a ride.

In this world of the internet there are so many ways to get around not having a lot of money but if you don’t believe it you’ll never see it. Obviously a lot of this you need to do will cost money but on the internet it doesn’t have to be a lot. I started my internet business with about $300 and I’ve made multiple six figures since then. So keep on fighting and finding a way to accomplish your goals. you don’t have to have money to become successful. Period.

I especially like the part about removing the negative energy from you life. This to me, is the most important thing to do before starting anything new. Misery loves company, if you are doing something new and different to better your lifestyle people will always bring something negative to the pot because your trying to better yourself and they are still at a stand still. They are afraid, your courage is their fear. I also wanted to commit on you folusho. I think you are very smart. Thanks Folusho for the reminder that without a plan, the only plan one has, is a plan for failure.
My brief Army experience taught me the 6 “Ps” of
successful leadership. That being, Prior Planning Prevents
    Pretty Poor Performance.
Personally, the hard part is not in deciding what you are willing to sacrifice/do in terms of doing or doing without.
Rather it is in writing a plan about something that you know very little about. In this case,
as with most people who are getting started, the tendency is to get overloaded with information to the point that you are choking on all the great opportunities that abound and can’t keep a clear
idea of the direction you wantneed to take. The need for income strangles the desire to “serve.”
Websites, squeeze pages, opt in/opt out, auto responders, html……..for the newbie, it may as well be in Greek.
The beauty of the article is that even with all the internet has to offer in the way of opportunity,
the secret of success really lies more in what each of us as individuals brings “to” the table.
It is very easy to want to try and market like Shawn or Tellman ROss or whomever, but in the end, we need to wake up every day and realize that God endowed each and every one of us with unique
talents and gifts. The same character/integrity that makes us good friends, husbands, wives, friends or lovers should be the foundation for our
    online business

    Thank you! This is it!

I have spent thousands of dollars trying to figure this out. Following one guru after another. I have bookshelves (yes, plural) full of programs that will help me make money online. I have information overload. So much in fact, that I have overwhlemed myself into inaction. I start a program, do days of research picking a niche, start setting it up and then find out that this is a scam. Or maybe there is information missing that I can’t seem to grasp. I even paid for a mentoring program that was supposed to teach one-on-one. The mentor admitted to not understanding the technology behind what she was doing. But if anyone asked a question, she would tell them (in her blog for everyone else in the course to see) that the person was an idiot. The information wasn’t rocket science and that she couldn’t understand how someone couldn’t understand it right away.

While doing all of the programs, I have always had it back in my mind that it really can’t be that difficult. Well, you said it right here. It isn’t! Thank you! I will start trusting my instinct and tune out all of these self-proclaimed gurus who know everything but can’t answer a question.

    Thank you,

Well I do have one thing to say about your ebook. That is, you are right on the MONEY!
They say there telling us the truth. The one thing that they are not telling us is that if you do not advertise which cost money, just as you stated in your ebook. You will go nowhere and that is a fact. If every person asked their self that question prior to joining any online company. They would know they have to advertise! Why do they ever year bring us this large yellow book free of charge called the YellowPages? The answer is to advertise there company to get more business and they can give the book away for free because they are charging $6000.00 a year for a full page colored add and an additional $500.00 a year for your page to have a tab to get more attention drawn to your page. That free book was around way before the internet and MLM. Someone is going to read this that is making a fortune off of people that are doing what they are saying and not getting any where, because as you stated in your book they do not know how to market the product no matter what it is you still have to ADVERTISE. When you find a company that offers multiple advertising that is included with the product or service they are selling to you and asking you to duplicate. If the price is not crazy high for all the advertising cost for the memberships they receive.
I would be asking myself, are they really advertising or are they sending all the members to the same people hoping someone will join one of the memberships. I have not yet seen one company that honestly offers advertising with the product or service. They offer to build your downline you just sign-up and you pay nothing until they build your downline, but they don’t tell you the downline they built for you are non-paying members that have joined under the same terms as you. The end result is you have nothing, but of course waisted a lot of your time. Your ebook is right on the money and more people need to see that in the terms of the way the world worked before the internet, then they might understand.

WOW!!! I don’t know if you are watching me on live cam right now or what but you certainly know all of the mistakes I’ve made (smile). I was very anxious to read your report because I’ve been sitting at my computer half the day searching for online money making ideas and I can truly say I’ve lost thousands of dollars trying to make money…things that make you go huhhhh!!! I’ve tried everything from envelope stuffing to Amway, for those of you who know what that is (smile). Everything you said makes so much sense, it’s definitely hard to focus and be productive when you are stressed to the max. I’m so happy to have read your material because it truly helped me put some things back into perspective. God doesn’t want us to stress out he tells us to cast all of our cares on him and that’s what I haven’t been doing enough of. I need to begin a better prayer life and Keep God as my number one consultant while I do all of my research and try to find programs and products that work best with what I love to do in life and that will make me lots and lots of money to do many good things with in this life. Thanks again for helping me to see a new, beautiful beginning that’s about to take place in my life.

Been there, done that!!! (The stress that is). The worst part for me are the folks around me that react like Steve’s in-laws, I’m to the point that my main objective is to prove them wrong! Somewhere along the line I lost the excitement needed to go forward (the guru’s didn’t help either).

I’m still plugging along (spinning my wheels), but it’s nice to know I’m not alone, sharing with others certainly helps.

I welcome the breath of fresh air Steve’s article brought into my little corner of the world.

Strange enough, I find myself doing a lot of surfing so now I will endeavour to work on the foregoing ideas.

It’s a game plan for “the game”. Plan your work or in this case, your business and then work your plan. I do agree with Steven in that education should be an on-going part of any business, in fact it should be an on-going part of life. Finally, I can empathize with Steven in that I too worked under stress and felt that I could soon be out on the street. Also I had been out of work for a while and felt an urgency to do something…..soon! Cool, calm, collected; that’s the only way to survive and flourish.

Too many people jump into the “make money online” arena to make a few bucks, but without the mindeset to truly build a business and create a future of prosperity for themselves. It all starts in the mind and the attitude. Thank you, Folusho, for sharing this.

I want to say thank you for giving me access to “The Mindset Of The Successful Marketer” by Steven Wagenheim. It “hit me right between the eyes” – it is exactly what I needed. I have been receiving so many “how to” and “buy mine NOW” and “mine is the best” offers and opportunities that sound so intriguing and promising, but have proven to be a waste of time and money (which I don’t have). It is hard to wade through all the products out there whether “good and legitimate” or “bad scams” and decide which one to invest in. “The Mindset Of The Successful Marketer” reminded me to relax, clear my mind and focus on what I can do, need to do, and how I can use this internet business to reach my goals for my benefit. Sir:

I am not for sure if you reviewed my comments from another posting the other day. I did read the artilce, or e-book, or informative material. yes, he has great insite and you should definitely implement his steps for a good solid, smooth runnig business. The problem is all of the people, Steve, etc. and you included are out here on the internet claiming to make all of this money. Just by luck you happened accross an idea and bam! now your on your way to riches. Well that is great and I am sure that Steve got this by implementing his procedures he wrote about, but procedure is not able to be implemented untl you find something out there that works! I have spent over a year now, and let me tell you I have spent lots of money i shouldn’t have. Joining these groups, with a person, just like you, stating how much money they are able to make, but when it comes down to helping the other person achieve a goal, they charge admission, and most of them will charge a huge monthly fee. I am beginning to think that they found nothing but a good way to scam the other person. How can you break through on a new idea, make all the money you can handle and then charge the average person who is struggling out there.

By the way, tell Steve I am a perfectionist, I do everything by the book, I have been organized from day one, and put many hours each day surfing the net. Looking for my thing I like. Well I found several, you know like he says, you have to find out what it is you want and you need to find something you will like doing? Well, I have followed all of these steps over and over again. i have failed. Why? Because I have not yet found out how to put it all together. Many people do but they keep it like a secrect and then charge to fill you in on their findings. And from my experience, they really never share their findings, they give you so much information and if you can’t figure out the rest, well you fail and they walk away with the income, right? Sad……

Hello Kimberly, thanks for your comments. The thing you have to realize is that both Steven and I both got this far because we learned from others that were successful and then took action on what we learned.

If you haven’t made any money it is simply because you aren’t doing the right things. You have to learn what to do then do it. It’s really that simple.

Everyone is responsible for their own success, the only thing we can do is guide you.

If you have any questions about how to get there, just feel free to ask.

    Hey All!
I appreciate a nice, short e-book that tells it straight. Thank you!
I started my website in 2006, hoping to use it as my home business. My life has evolved a lot since then.lol
I am a stay-at-home married Mom of one great daughter. Started thinking about my own home business when I had her. Because, along with my precious child, came Major Clinical Depression and 35 allergies. Yes, I said 35.lol (Makes working a J.O.B. difficult.)
Needless to say at THAT time, building my own business wasn’t even a priority. Living was MY priority.
Anyway, I got help for both(3 allergy shots a week, talk therapy and drug-therapy for my depression.)I guess after going through all of that, not much scared me anymore.
So, with much thanks to my wonderful and supportive Hubby, I finally started my website and Affiliate Marketing, with disappointing results.
I don’t want to bore you, but I do have something to say, here.lol
When I first started out, I tried a lot of different things. Got Scammed on some of them. Just had no luck with others. Never spent very much on any of them, as my business capitol was also my family’s money…and I kept that in mind.
However, I have decided, over time, that I don’t WANT my own Internet Business.LOL How is that for a kicker? I don’t WANT to have to deal with autoresponders and business models, etc. In a nutshell, I had marketing information overload; that just brought me down, confused me, and made me feel stupid. It went from something that gave me hope; to something that drained all hope.
Sorry for dragging on, but I am almost done.lol
After all of this time, my website has become my hobby/therapy/work and I AM an Affiliate Marketer.
By the way, Affiliate is NOT a dirty word.lol
I now get the joy of having my own website, to build however I see fit. I design Jewelry, which I am lucky enough that people like..and buy. AND I finally let go of the crap and now only market for a few things, that I believe in.
I have learned to appreciate straight-talking and common sense. This report is just like that.
Something I can appreciate, FINALLY! lol
Anyway, these days, I am mainly marketing a thing called 3 Hour Profits. I am not trying to slip that in here to make a sale folks, lol, although I don’t turn them away.
Reason I mention it is this….I can finally appreciate straight-talk and common sense..and that program has no fluff or crap; just a plain-speaking plan and HELP when I need it.
I now work as I please. I am making more money online than ever before and I am NOT stressing about it all anymore.
Hubby says I am a lot more fun to live with, these days.LOL
Straight-talk and common sense, people. Look for it in ANY program or business that you decide to try!
Thanks for letting me ramble here and thanks for the report. I hope my comments here helps someone. :)

I get up at 6:30 every morning,

Well, now I am thinking of growing up and facing the facts after 64 yrs on this earth. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is there? Just rewards for the efforts that are put out and the study that web marketing REALLY requires.

Let me give you my comments on what I feel at this time. For starters what I have heard and seen this is just a geniune company who is interested in getting the truth out. I have received emails already giving me more knowledge about this company. The videos I have watched are really great.
As for Stevens report..It is top of the line advice that will benefit others greatly. We new people need to know that someone is honestly there for us to guide us.
I usually don’t have alot of money to spare but for some reason I felt like this company will do what it saids it will do. Talk the talk, and walk the walk.
I believe in this company and are top of the line in all areas. Like I said I just started yesterday. But I know that I will earn back more money than I sacrificed yesterday by letting a few of my bills go in order to get this program.
I am honest about everything I am saying. I want to learn all I can from them. Looking forward to receiving all that I can.
Well that is my long comment from a newbie.

    1. The “thing” you got involved with has no real demand. People don’t want to spend money on it or it’s viewed as some kind of a scheme.

    2. If number 1 isn’t the reason, and you actually have found something that has a target market and a real demand where people will be willing to dig into their wallets and spend money, then the problem is that you are not promoting it properly.

And that is a book in itself.

Because promotion is about 2 things.

    1. What advertising avenues you use to get the word out about your product or service.

    2. How well you write. Sorry to say this, but if you can’t write in a compelling way that clearly outlines the “benefits” of your product (not the features, the benefits) then you are not going to make any money.

Now here’s a further dose of reality.

Some people don’t have the ability to make a living online because they don’t have the proper skills and mindset.

No, not everybody should even attempt to do this.

God Bless my mother but if she had to make a living online, she’s starve to death. And this woman is a concert pianist and professional opera singer.

Not everybody is cut out for this business.

That is the cold hard truth.

Good…then you’re ahead of the game because you’d be surprised how many people don’t have any common sense.

The section titled “Eliminating the Negativity” resonates with me, completely.

Particularly because I was in a “corporate America” job up until last summer, for 23 years. I was laid off and started pursuing network marketing, which led me to the internet and I saw so much more potential with things like affiliate marketing and top tier businesses.

I used to have the “rat race” mentality and viewed people who didn’t have “real jobs” as losers. Talk about Karma. You know?

I am surrounded by tons of negative energy living in the Sacramento area, having the highest foreclosure rate in the nation and watching people lose their homes all around me. Fortunately, I have a cushion to get me through for a while, but if I don’t start generating 4 figures a month, I’m going to be in the same boat.
I don’t believe for a second that’s going to happen.

Being a single income woman and a graduate from the school of Hard Knocks, I guess you can say that I overcame some odds.

I had a great career in the title insurance industry and I thought I had it “going on” in terms of having my life in place the way it should be. Earning 6 figures annually, buying my home, creating my lifestyle and basically being on top of the world.

I now know how little control I really had over my life. Other people made decisions to cut staff and BOOM! My life changes overnight and I have to figure out a way to maintain my lifestyle. I am far too stubborn to lose it all.

I have been spending quite a bit on information, like a lot of us do, on how to make money online. People such as yourself and Folusho are out there to guide me through the process and set examples.

The principals you outlined in this very basic, no-fluff article do a great job at silencing all the noise and crap that can clog your brain with too much fricken information.

I am fighting my own tendnecies to get side tracked by all the “great offers”. This is all very simple, but it’s not easy.

Thank you for the refreshing and honest dose of reality. Exactly what I needed. Well written and well received.

Ruth, I’m glad I was able to help in my small way. If it’s any encouragement to you, my first 5 months online I made $28.

Last year I made well over 6 figures.

It does take time and effort, but it’s not rocket science. It’s actually very simple. The hard part is disciplining yourself to do what needs to be done.

BUT, like you said, no one is going to hire me at my age and the internet offers newbies like me a way to make a lifestyle living come true. I am constantly surrounded by ‘When are you going to get a job’ people who are locked into a 9 to 5 mentality. Not for me !! Simple, insightful in it’s simplicity, your ebook has me thinking on a different wavelength. Hello Folusho,

Thanks for sharing Steves information with me,today was a particularly rough day as I had set up a blog a few days ago and now see that it only saved the draft and was not published. I had spent a good deal of time refining the sales copy, so I was really depressed to find it not published.
I also and sent my link off to a site that I had done some demographic research on and they declined to list my link with the rest of their directory.
I was wallowing in negativity after that completely forgetting the principles described to me in Napoleon Hills think and grow rich. As I was reading Steve’s information it resonated so clearly that what I have done is let myself talk myself out of success.

It really is all about mindset, and while I am exploring a niche that does not capture my long term passions and hobbies at this time, it is however sending me into a more positive direction in life. If I have to stand by my principles and represent a product that I have less experience in, but is morally and justifiably correct and furthers my spiritual development, then I can rest easy knowing I have made a choice I can live with.

I am a complete Newbie to the Online Internet Marketing world. I have been researching this field for a very long time — about 8 years. It seems like a long time when you say it but I’m glad I waited until recently to make the investment. The time wasn’t right for me to have a home business then. This is going back to when I didn’t even have a computer, marketing was mostly handled by the U.S. Mail and it seemed as if a person’s only “niche” choice was MLM, or some other type of scam. To all MLM people that might be reading this, I apologize for the previous remark. It wasn’t meant to be mean or hateful —
just my own observation as well as the various theories going through the “grapevine” at that time. I understand that MLM is taking a different approach now then it once did. Back then apparently there were many disgrundled folks that wanted to make money with MLM but only the top few Founding Members did. I’m sure it will work much better for those involved today as everything has positively progressed since the birth and rapid rise of the Internet. Back then, all the program descriptions sounded alike; the only difference among them being their names. I guess that is what made me too apprehensive to part with my money. I had heard horror stories of folks pouring money into program after program looking for just one which wasn’t a pack of lies because they so badly wanted to buy into that dream these crooks had created for them. Bet you never thought I’d get to commenting about Steven’s book. It was so refreshing to sit down and read an excellent written book. In addition, it contained views that I totally agree with. That’s never happened to me before!
While reading the chapters and thinking “I couldn’t have said that better myself”, I realized that it had to be the long time period in which I had devoted to researching this whole home business idea that had created what Steven’s book was all about: being in the proper MINDSET. For what you are about to undertake, it is imperative to be in the proper MINDSET in order for you to possibly have that taste of success at Online Internet Marketing. The MINDSET will automatically allow you to “plan” your day, set your goals and be able to attain them and still have time for rest and play. With me, I just woke up one morning about 2 months ago and knew something was different about myself. I had received the proper MINDSET which is the key to the success of my new Stay at Home Online Marketing Businesses. My niche will be selling digital information as an Affiliate. I have completed most of my current starting goals and am in the finishing stages of my preparation to launch 6 streams of income and will begin working online in a similar business that will make plenty of money in itself to fund my business expenditures while the businesses are taking off, as well as pay the mortgage etc. Currently, it is my largest stream of income, and has the potential to always be. But as Steven pointed out, you have to have your interests at your side to be happy and successful!! That mighty word again: MINDSET. Thank you Steven for sharing your book. I am anxious to read your other books as well!!

Wow…now tell us what you are really thinking! It’s nice to hear someone say that there is work to be done, IF you are going to be successfull! Most of these Internet Business people make it sound like “turn your computer one, sign up and just watch the cash roll in.” I knew it couldn’t be that easy and that’s why I never tried any of this stuff before. I would like to make more money and since I don’t mind working for it, I would like to show my current boss what REAL MONEY is. It seems that I work 14 hour days and he says “I make too much.” Since I don’t know what “too much money” means, I sure would like to find out. Great article and great videos. Thank you very much.

Yes, very informative. I need to purchase “Basic Copywriting In Plain English.” The conditions I face today are generated from my outsource network. Not having an effective or reliable outsource avenue really slows down the process. Not only that, disbursements of debit card issues have become a primary safety concern. Maybe I will overcome this fear to trust and move on, then maybe I will not. Somehow, I figure I will just have to trust my instincts and take a chance. This opportunity is not one I wish to past over. There is much information to decipher. A question I have to the readers and staff or service members, or Steven Wagenheim; do I purchase the book for $47 and just take it from there?

Some people become successful almost overnight like I did, but for most people it takes a little longer. I’m sure it’ll take me a little longer to achieve some other successes, but I will NEVER say that most people fail because you and I are not most people. Our success is in our hands.

    Hello Folusho,
Right from the start I get the felling of your genuine sincerity in wanting to truly help people. I do appreciate the advice given by Steve in the book he wrote. I got the point hammered home to me that it is vital to communicate with your audience, and if you can’t or don’t know find someone that can, but you must communicate with your audience. So, what you wanted to say to me you said it through Steve’s article or book. What I’ve gotten from this book is that a person should set in life to achieve a definite goal. Choose a business that they love to do and by doing that business…taking care of their customers…fulfilling the idea that if you help enough people get what they want you will get what you want…that will be your goal. So, to me my mindset is my goal and absolutely nothing is going to distract me from my goal.
I believe I am going to reach my goal, because I have adopted the idea of the buldog mentality…”Never, never, never give up!”
Folusho, I have a felling that you can help me reach my goal. Thank you.

What a unique idea Steven has for getting and keeping a business online. The main idea is having a positive idea, as thinking right will let you go a long way. Think negative and you will get nowhere, but defeated.
I desire to be a coywriter and have all the tools to get started. Eventually with a positive idea I can accomplish my goals. Keep up the good work Steven.

I do not have a website as yet, so I would not be able to post one. Anyhow the information and advice you gave is very good. What impress me most of the article is the determination of forging ahead although you got feed back of negative comments from others. So because of that you choose to encourage us who are just starting out to have a plan and stick to it. I am grateful for your kind consideration. Thanks.

Last night my fiance and I got an e-mail to let us know that his application for a car (for me) was declined. About 30 minutes later I went to the bathroom and just broke into tears. He came over to listen as I told him about all the things that were going bad for me, Poor Me. I went on and on about everything going wrong in my life (I was unable to reach a number of goals this year and it all came back to me last night). I slept with tears in my eyes and the first thing I did when I woke up this morning was cry. The thing I worried about the most was what people are saying about me and the annoying questions they always ask me (I was pretty vocal about my plans- we are in network marketing and before reading the 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing by Ann Siege, we were harassing- I mean prospecting- everyone around us and telling them how our business is going to fulfill our dreams and goals and how they too can blah blah blah…you know the deal). So I was feeling that my failure is exposed to all my friends who knew my plans.

But do you what? Steven is right.

    1. To hell with everybody else. Seriously. SERIOUSLY. I realised that NONE of them actually care about my wellbeing. They are just colleagues, associates and “friends”, who will still be asking annoying questions when I am successful. I have decided to eliminate all the negatives. I realised there are SO MANY positives around me. I got embarrased at my drama last night when I realised that actually I’m doing pretty good and that I have so many things to be grateful for.

    2. Make a plan. My fiance (who I’m staying with) got a salary increase this month (I basically earn what he’s taxed now) and instead of going out to buy more material things, he has decided to use the extra money to get rid of our debt and to grow our internet based business during the next few months. Getting rid of debt will put more money in our pockets. That is our most important plan right now. (The vehicle finance decline was actually a blessing in disguise!). We still need to work on our business plan (Thank you for the suggestion Steven!).

We discovered Internet-based businesses two months ago after reading the 7 Great Lies….and we have also discovered that there are so many “how-to” products designed for people like us “hoping to make money quick’ (Folusho, THANKS for the first video you sent us. We are victims of that already. I’m looking forward to watching the other video after posting this comment).

We are willing to take our time to learn and have realised that all the gurus and millionaires have their stories of struggle too and that for a lot of them (like you Folusho), it has taken years of trying this-and-that until they learned and mastered the tricks of the trade. We are willing to take our time. Of course it would be nice if we made money “quick” like a lot of testimonials we have read, but we want to invest in information. We are content with where we are- we are happy that it’s only the two of us (no children, no big family responsibilities), we are Black South Africans but have been able to get good tertiary education of international standards and are professionals, together we earn a higher than average income (which, uhmm, has managed to get us higher than average debt!), we have lots of other business opportunities, we are in our twenties so we have AMPLE time and resources to get us from ‘typical middle class’ to WEALTHY, we are alive and healthy, we have each other and love each other to bits…the list goes on and on. It’s time to stop whining and be grateful! I really feel good right now. Thank you Steven and Folusho!

Life is too good to waste on petty things!

It also intales the way we should focus on our nichs with great importance. You need an IDEA,a simple one that has your interest or hobbies intaled. The other trick I found interesting ,was never to worked stressed out. Ideas come much easier to the common person when relaxed and in good form with the rules of life, the internet, and especially, our loved ones. What ever you have great experience with should be put at the forfront of ideas on your landing pages, sites, and e-books.I learned just now about the site,WORRIOR FORUM.I will use this site to get many unanswered questions I’ve had for some time. This e-book is a great motivator for the begginers who are frustrated with low,or no incomes.Obviously it takes time and dedication to become a great online artist and word creator.I usually just say it as I feel it.It was an eye opener which I needed o be sucessful in this field. In my words, don’t give up,and keep pluggin at it.Thre will be a day soon where most of use will have a decent living online. Great stuff. Thank You. I am actually what they call a newbie. I have bought a few things but not so much to be ashamed of. I have not made any money due to ignorance on where to start. I do think I have this Internet Marketing thing figured out though. First, you find a hungry crowd. That would be people who dream of avoiding a traditional job. Second, you sell these people “information” that may put them closer to that dream. You then guide them through a sales funnel and spit them out when your done. And at the end of the day they are still lost and don’t have a clue. But at least you made sales and hopefully they bought products that you are an affiliate for. My wallet is now closed until I know what I am doing. Maybe that means I will never know what I am doing and that is OK. I am not afraid of my j-o-b. Can you point me in the right direction without any sales pressure? If not then I totally understand.

Re: The Mindset Of The Successful Marketer
I read Steven’s e-book; it’s very good. What I would add is that one needs an ultimate goal that every thing one does leads to the goal. That goal should be some thing of great purpose; when I do this and this and this I will get this. Such a goal is pure motivation greater than the sum total of all of one’s daily and regular human action. Mine is to set a Disaster Response Fund and Facility that can go into almost any disaster area, save warfare, and immediately reduce confusion, assess immediate needs to instantly create an organisation to facilitate a massive reduction of personal and/or group tragedy so that people can then get back to what they did prior to the disaster and get back on their road of life. Now that’s a goal! A very famous man once said that a man is only as able as he can help others. This goal of mine came about as result of the recent earthquake in China where many people I personally know lost their whole families and their physical history was wiped away, and due to how I’ve organised my life I couldn’t go to help rehabilitate and restore normalcy to that area. More recently I saw an documentary that exposed the truth of the Bali Bombing where a lot of my own country man and women, and locals, were slaughtered to force Indonesia into the War on Terror and to force Australians to stop their mass demonstrations against the Australian government for supporting Bush’s War on Terror and sending our own boys to Iraq and Afganistan. The CIA and Mossad conspired and set off a small nuclear explosion and created a mini Horishima to force Indonesia into the War on Terror and to bring about national shock to Australians to pass into law an act that makes the US Patriot Act look like child’s play. This is the world we are living folks! So we have to have goals beyond our personal ambitions that can bring about a fast reduction of the grief any one of our fellow earthlings may be forced to endure either by natural, or man made force such as TV, so that we may be unified to carry on with our daily lives to seek the freedom and survival we naturally feel we must achieve. Why we get out of bed each day, or night. It’s the continual media onslaught depictions of slaughter and carnage that is pushing us into prolonged grief to which we are seeking escape from by way of personal wealth that the media is shoving on us every day and almost every where we go that we see is our only escape that end game. Ok, so how can I do that? Well, many are aware of or heard of the so called “black hat” methods used in internet marketing, and they are the exact methods used in media to control us, the internet is a channel of media. We are told that that black hat methods are not OK to use but the “gurus” and the controllers are using them against us all the time. For example; the internet is a FREE channel of information and communication. It is public! Then how come I have to pay some one to use it??? Well, I got to learn how to be my own ISP. So that is a tool I can use to enter any realm of the internet at will, just as google and co. do. That’s Black Hat!!! There is a world glut of oil, so how come it is so expensive? Black Hat!!! There is an overproduction of food, then how come it is so expensive and millions are starving? Black Hat!!! There is more money in circulation than ever before, how come there’s so much debt? Black Hat!!!
Any way, the goal has to be to be greater than the sum total of all goals you are currently aware of or ever thought about greater than yourself, your family, your friends or colleagues, you culture, your race, your known world. Once you have that goal and named it out then everything lesser than than that goal will align to that goal!

I appreciate people who do not waste my time. Steve’s style is easy to read. And he packs a lot of information in a nice and concise booklet.

As a minister I stand in front a group of people each sunday who struggle with life. The three main struggles are always relationships, money. or health.

Some people struggle more with relationships. Others struggle more with money, and still others struggle more with health issures. (Right now my wife and I are sick. We have a bad cold that will not go away.)And some people stuggle with all three.

What does this have to do with online marketing? Our success is dependent on our ability to handle each of the three areas-relationships, money, and health. And when we are successfull in one of the three areas we need to take the time to share what we have learned with others so that they can be successful.

Thanks Steve for sharing what you have learned. Thanks for not keeping it to yourself.

I read the article which is pretty much like all other articles lately. The internet “gurus” are all using this slap in your face tactic; instead of fluff. With that in mind, when you questions ones writing abilily, maybe you should then question his reading and technical comprehension. I am on the computer frequently and unless you come to my house and physically show how me, it will be hard to follow with so many “small” tech terms. If you want to get someone’s attention, don’t coddle them, or try to tempt them with money that won’t be there and please don’t insult them….TALK to them on a one on one basis with help and encouragement. They are trying the best they can and really want to succeed.

The article by Steve was very insightful and informative. I concurr the general jist of what he is speaking about. The mindset of the successful marketer has to be one that is based on the primary thought of “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” and belief that what you have to offer in the beginning may not be for anyone but eventually it will be desired by everyone that vision to look at the practicality for their own individual benefit. Just think if Bill Gates didn’t have the (DPV – DESIRE, PASSION, AND VISION)COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY WOULD NOT HAVE EVOLVED INTO THE NECESSITY THAT IT IS TODAY. A vital key ingredient of the mindset of a successful marketer is to have no fear and the willingness to take chances with a concept that may be unknown or unproven but has the potential to develop into a very successful and lucrative business venture.

I have worked 30 years as a mechanic and I guess I’m not too good with money, and I have suffered a few…scratch that…a lot of set backs! I’m not even sure where my next mortgage payment is coming from. I don’t see how I can afford to sit around at the computer for months trying to figure out how people do it. I want to…but I also have responsabilities and I have to eat. I HAVE NO MONEY. So should I just go back to the daily grind of making money for other people. It seems a desire to be successful is not enough. You have to have money, and if you have money, why start a business? The one I bought in to said you don’t need money if you can invest time. I have invested quite a bit of time with no results…another set back. And when it comes to negativity…meet my wife, she thinks I’m an idiot for attempting to better myself by spending two hundred bucks on an online business. I haven’t given up, but I’m starting to feel that I’m the one people make money off of, not the one who mkes money!

I thought the article by Steven was on the money! As a newbie but with a failed attempt it highlighted the missing actions and mindset of mine.

After I accepted the above failure I looked into starting a service business and through my research came across scope.org an sba organization of small business counselors, and the first question from them is do you have a business plan… dah, no I had to say, and as I started putting it together I could see my “Boot Strap” was not enough to fund the venture just in insurance and license to operate let alone equipment or just a padding for Newton’s law or many other realities of overhead. So again back to the internet and guess what, without a plan…. Kick kick kick. So thanks to the letter I’m back to the basics of any legit business, and I do hope that’s what we are all trying to create here.

Business plan: A clear view of where you want your business to be in the future and how to get there. Rodney at #53 Here’s your Goal you spoke of.

The table of contents itself is a template of a daily schedule, “Eliminating The Negative” = wake up with a positive attitude ie positive affirmations or whatever works for you, “Make a Plan” = check Your plan, cause you have already made the plan before even starting your business, right. “Running Your Business” = follow your plan, “Studying” = stay on top of the game with research and continued education in your field, “Relax” = you fill this one in, “Conclusion” = go to bed. It seems to me, at this time, that there are only two daily working tasks on the schedule, running the business and study, so one would just need to allot time according to the time you have available.

The most important thing I am taking away from this article is to do diligent research both inside and out of myself so I can lay the groundwork with a plan made with a clear head and clear goals.

Thanks for the invite Folusho, the article was the prize

I’m glad I made it before the 100th post.

Steve makes some very good points about the mindset and the cycle of the average online opportunity seeker.

It always amazes me how most people somehow forget that you still need to know how to market your business (online or offline) and also to know how to communicate effectively.

In posting Steven Wagenheim’s “The Mindset Of The Successful Marketer”, you have reminded us all that few if any businesses work out as originally planned.

The negativity and stress of venturing into the new and unknown world of internet marketing is daunting. It takes a great deal of knowledge, determination and self confidence along with continuous study, and following the models or mentoring of experienced business successes to reach the goal of success.

Organization and planning is supremely important. Matters of finance, income, expense etc. are of little value if not presented in an organized manner and immediately accessible.

Mr Wagenheim has hit the nail on the head.

Yes, it is the absolute truth to have a definite plan. Write your plan down and set goals to achieve to fulfill the plan.

Negativity and stress are absolute no nos. Either will breed more of the same and ultimate doom.

Keep track of the do’s and don’ts within individual files for easy access. And when you meet success, keep on doing what you were doing.

I found Steve’s book concise and readable. Two main things that sank in for me and aroused pictures of my own experience are: to be sure I have a plan for my online business and stop trying to reason with those from my church and within my family who think I am unemployed if I don’t fit the mold of a 9 to 5 worker. Far too many people write books in language that is meant for elephants who read mirror writing. What I learned from Steve’s book is that you cannot work successfully with thought negativity whether yours or someone else’s. He is so right about about relatives, church members and associates who fail to comprehend that you are enjoying working for yourself at the hours you chose when you choose without corporate stress. This information can be nibbled or chewed in digestible portions. Thanks for this gift. I will share it.

Wow your letter really hit home! I am going through some severe financial struggles right now and the part where you say “,you MUST find a way to not work under stress” really hit home! I have been stressing about making money to pay bills and now realize I spend more time thinking about that than working my business! I know now I just need to take a deep breath, hand over my troubles to God and focus on my business so I can use it to help others. I know if I work my plan and stay focused the money will come!

I also have been trying to learn a dozen or more things at one time and have become half educated in nothing! I will now make folders and prioritize my education and take the time to really learn a new system, program, or technique! That’s almost a stress reliever in it’s self knowing I can focus on one thing and the rest can wait until I am ready to move on!!!

I do want to add that having a goal in mind is good but really understanding the reason behind that goal is even a greater force to drive you on and help you plow through the rough times! What I mean by this is you may want money but, why do you want money? To pay your bills, to support your family, to live a better life? Now let’s go even deeper and say that it can give you peace of mind and allow you to do the things you want to do for yourself and for others. I believe if you focus on your reasons to work and use them as catalysts to reach your goals you will reach them faster and find work more fulfilling!!
Thank you again for sharing this valuable information with us and I wish great success to everyone in whatever business venture they choose!!

Incase anyone is interested I have 2 sites you can view for great business opportunities!

The person who wins the $50 gets to buy something.
The person who read and understood the book doesn’t need it.

If you do win the $50, consider this:
The poor person uses his money to buy necessities, which is understandable. The middle class person saves up money from one or more jobs, and then buys something nice, then starts saving again. The rich person invests his money, and uses the money from his assets to buy what he wants.

If I sound vaguely familiar, that’s because I am using the ideas that I learned from Robert Kiyosaki.

I recently just read a report discussing the law of attraction. Two of the rules to receving what you desire is to be selfish about feeling good. You make it a rule to stay away from negative people. The report from steven says the same thing. Find something that you enjoy doing for this will give you the desire and the fortitude to keep going even when the going gets hard. He says he is guarded about what he tells people what he does for a living. People who don’t understand or have misconceptions of what it is you do, tend to think you are weird or not normal and this is negative. We are to run from negative and work toward feeling good. So Stevens words of wisdom match perfectly from the other report that I also read today.

The section on developing a plan. Reminds me of 2 things I have read and know to be true for most of us. If you fail to plan you plan to fail and we spend more time planning a vacation then we would planning a business. One more is most of us spend way to much time entertaining ourselves. T.V, useless internet act ivies at least those are my bad habits.

Thank you for sharing. I will reread it and take it to heart

I can understand why you are cautious. When someone takes you for a run, it is difficult to trust anyone. It’s like trading stocks, you invest to get a return and the very opposite takes place. It is hard to get back in the game after you took a loss. But I’ve learned to get back on my feet and try again until I get things right. I recalled a friend of mine who went on vacation and left a trusted friend to manage her business while she was away. She owned travel agency that specialized that also specialized in payroll. While she was on vacation she contacted her friend but her friend after a few days was not answering her phone calls. It was very odd. When she got back to her office, it was cleaned out including her files and computer. She lost her business and her friend left the town. She finally had to close the business down. She could not afford to pay for business expenses. It was heartbreaking but she managed to rent a small cubicle from a local business and she began to get new clients. Now she is better off than ever before. She has an office in NY and Florida. And she learned a valuable lesson that not everyone can be trusted. This is sad but true. I think you understand this. But on the subject of Steve, I can thoroughly understand. I have just graduated with a MBA. We had to complete a business plan before we could graduate and it took several semester to get it done. I’m not suggesting that it will take that long but good businesses plans require study. One of the thing that we learned about business plan is called SWOT analysis that involves the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that may be contributing factors to a company. An example would be the automotive industry. It is taking a beating in the market place because they were not paying attention to the trends. The Japanesse were making more efficient cars that the U.S. Those are considered threats. Someone who is involved in the strategic planning should have noticed those trends a long time ago. That is why one of the top republicans stated earlier why should we bail out the auto industry. The truth is he’s right. Why should we. So what is motivating you to get in this business is something that you must consider. Take a look at your strength and weakness and compare. It seems to me that you are in a quest to find answer like me. But I gather that you are resilient and you will get back on your feet. You see when you plant a seed you will not see it sprout the day you planted it. But with effort and a little help, we will reap what we sown. It’s just a matter of time.

    Take care,

    Freddy

The Mindset of the Successful Marketer is a very enjoyable read, the concepts are very elegant and it’s no nonsense approach is refreshing. I think Steve has taken the most important elements and condensed them in to this E-book, this is what some people call the elusive obvious, that is why I said this E-book is elegant, Steve takes quite complex concepts and puts them into plain English. Everyone at some time or another will come across well meaning friends and family that do not understand why you would want to go beyond the 9 to 5, in fact everything from dating and relationships, to just about anything you can think of, there will always be people who have never had a model of success, so they won’t get it. I think everyone should read the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill at least twice a year; it’s just a complete freak show and every time you read it you get more out of it. Well done Steve, loving your work

The entire article is absolutely essential to being prepared for each day and running a successful business. Clarity comes from focus and focus comes from planning daily and minute by minute. Yet even the best plans will meet with with the “tyranny of the urgent” and “Sweetheart do you time for …..” so “Siempre Gumby” or always flexible will certainly apply to your everyday ability to succeed. Of course, “attitude determines your altitude” and if you wish to soar with the eagles and not walk with the turkeys, you will definitely need to eliminate negativity and soothe stress before obtaining optimal results. Thanks Steve and Flusho for the article. God Bless, Roy

“Keeping Up” is counterbaanced by ‘too much info”.
trying to sort it out can eat up ones time.

I have also learned that most marketers are great at getting the word out on their programs but lousy at communication. They do not understand that communication is a two way process. They are deeply involved in preaching their message but fail to respond to questions. They all (that is, the ones that I have attempted to contact)seel to insulate themselves from the very people they are trying to reach. For example, I have sent Mr Orokunle four messages without a hint of a response.

I have decided a while back that I must get away from them, which I will do as soon as possible this year. Also I am going to be particular who I share my dreams with. Also The part Steve mentioned on planning and study are very necessary with an internet business. The study I do everyday and what has led me to you. Also I understand the need to take a break and enjoy life. Truthfully you can enjoy it more when you have no financial burdens. Thats why I got to get rich from the internet. Steve was on the money with these basics. Thats my comment. Richard S.

I have bought many products, actually I have spent every last dollar I had saved. I really would like a product or program that is real and doesn’t have the missing parts to be successful. I would like a product that doesn’t require me to buy another, and then another. I will not give up and I hope that Folusho is real. I did like what was said. I do believe in the right mindset and having fun. Actually this is the first time in a long time where I feel alive again. Why, because the possibilities are crazy. I want to work from home and make a lot of money and never have my family worry again about anything!!!

    Hi,

That e-book was a wake up call to ALL internet marketers. If you are not incorporating these points into your business, you are definitely OFF the path to success! I know..I was one of them. I had gotten listless and lackadaisical in my onine endeavors and believe me, you’re on the superhighway to NOWHERE when that happens!

You’re like an enlisted soldier who is marching out of step with the rest of his company. This e-book should serve as the bugle corp entreaty that every soldier is awakended to in the morning. When they hear that bugle, they know that its time to get out of that bunk and fall in line!

This e-book is the online marketer’s bugle corp…it is our signal to “get it together” and “step to, soldier!”

Finally, a non-sugar-coated, no fairy tales, explanation of what has to be done to be successful. The fact that Steve makes it clear that an internet business is, exactly that, a business, and thus to be successful must be run as a business, with discipline and care, and attention to a detailed plan gives him a lot of credibility. I’m going for it.

Regarding the brief, to-the-point letter of advise,”The Mindset of The Successful Marketer” by Steven Wagenheim and direction toward what HAS to be good information regarding marketing……(books on copywriting and article writing)…..
It has been said before, that you must work. OK, that’s always true; I mean if you are motivated, you are motivated, and we all work our best when we are at our best (I’m more apt to come up with ideas and have more enegy in the afternoon. I KNOW this.)And you must be serious, and professional.
In addition…… this article lays down several (it’s not a long, drawn-out, hype-filled or booooring dissertation)basic things you NEED to do to lay yor foundation, and should be must-read for ANY marketer on the planet. Period. This man is out to HELP you.

Oh, and yes….this blog is a good idea and highly under utilized. I’m wondering if many are afraid to post here. So I’d like to say that if you all do, it’ll be in everyone’s best interest, like Obama told Turkey (and the world), to work on this together. I believe that.

The article was well written and made some excellent points. Especially the ones about negativety and a business plan. There’s no room for negativety if you want to be successful in the business world or even in your every day life!

The book had a lot of info that is mainly basic to anyone that is successful at work, play, love and mainly in everyday life. To be successfull, you have to like what your doing, have a plan, keep up with today’s race, constantly modify you plan, relax with self confidence and be able to think on your feet. Most successfull people’s minds don’t shut down at the end of the day before they go to sleep, their thinking about tommorrow and beyond and enjoying their trip to relaxation and sleep . When I was younger, working as a manager in the steel mills, I liked going to work, had a plan every day, written on small index cards and checked off as tasks were accomplished and felt like I was making a difference. Then politics comes into play and I wasn’t a good player, when fools with no clue where telling you what to do. Negative attitudes can kill a good thing. When you have real bozo’s in charge and all they know is Who? What? When? Where? Why? etc. and beat you over the head with it until you tend to clam up and eventually say nothing. The book is good info, hopefully for a good tommorrow!

If we ever needed guidance and direction, it is now. Through my faith in God, I am sure that everything will turn out just fine. Steven’s e-book was well written. He gives excellent advice to anyone who is trying to start their own business. I like the way he presented everything step-by-step. We need to have a plan and he indicated that no two people would have the same exact plan. He made it real, but he gives us the hope that everyone has a chance. His e-book is like a compass one needs for direction to start a business.

Duh. Duh. Duh!!!!! Well, after spending time and money (seems like wasting time and money) Steve’s words were and are right on the money. I guess the word that kept passing me by in online business gold mine hunt is this: business! Treating it like a business, and one that I love at that! I kept looking for the magic bullet with internet marketing and that magic bullet is me. Oh and Folusho – I just love the way you say “See you on the other side!”. That is so cool. You Rock!

Quite a straight forward article with excellent advice and a
Good Common Sense awakening and re affirmation in regards to ‘quit daydreaming – write yourself a
road map and start the journey – do it !’

Quit making excuses and wondering what may go
‘not quite right’ You are not going to know the answer until you start.
One’s own procrastination cure may be to remember
how you FINALLY DID IT – in regards to getting that First Date. Things happen and natural ‘built in’ compensating adjustments are made in regards to said action, etc.

Improved movement and earnings happen – only after – you are already moving and exercising one’s required destination plan.

Think about the biggest laziest bum you ever knew
and jolt one’s self to the fact that we are the
Absolute opposite ?! No ifs buts or maybe ?!

Quit banging one’s head or nose on the door; opening it first is the smooth way to get out,
to get started and – away we go !
Nothing will happen until we start.

That is what I got out of Steve’s article
    and,
I also noticed several contradictions of which I’m sure he put in just to see if we noticed and to keep us on track in regards to taking charge of
our own destiny and becoming a ‘doer’ NOW.
    Did you notice ?

I have listened to your videos and read what Steve had to say. I think what really stuck out to me was the comment Steve made about picking something you like such as a hobby. The example he gave was writing. It is easy keeping a positive mind but making solid decisions on what type of internet business is like probing for a needle in the proverbial hay stack. If a person wants to keep a positive attitude and perform at the peak of their ability, then Steve is right on target with his suggestion of googling what is your interest or hobby. Then, it does not seem so much like work if you are pursuing an interest and the time spent working be it 15 hours a day or 5 is virtually nothing as you are doing what you love to do. One cannot perform at their best if they are working at a job they hate or have not faith in. That is when stress and negative energy comes into play and affects one’s performance and attitude. Thanks for the info and the videos.

This is good down to earth information. The main truth is that you need to have a clear head to do business. A fact that is so simple and yet so obvious that you need to be at peace and be able to focus in on the the intiuitiveness inside. This will also give you the ability to study and get the information you need to further yourself. Keep up the good work in helping others.

Good information. People with negative, bad attitudes have no right to be critical of people who want to be successful. I don’t deal with individuals who think negative thoughts 24/7. I associate with positive people, individuals who never give up on their dreams and goals, no matter what may get thrown their way. For me, it is not the destination, it is the road and the journey a person takes to get to their destination. Scott A Hess

The report on A Mindset of the Sucessful Marketer is thoughtout and very true. A planned day is superior in starting a new business,as one can be easily distracted by kids, phone,tv etc. sometimes without a schedule you will find things to do just to avoid working on your business. “those who fail to plan, plan to fail”. Set a schedule and include your breaks, lunch and dinner. Stay Focus, Stay on Top.
