I’ve been writing for over 30 years. I’ve written songs, plays, TV scripts. poetry, novels, articles and ebooks. There is very little I haven’t done in the field of writing. But if I had to pick just one thing that is the easiest way to make money online, I’d have to say it is through the writing of articles. Why do I say that? I am going to explain in this article and give you 2 great ways that you can earn a living through your articles. One is directly and the other is not so directly. Both work.
First, the explanation as to why article writing is profitable. The reason is simple. The Internet is all about one thing…content. Think about it. If you have any kind of problem at all or need to look up any kind of information on the Internet, what do you do? You go to a search engine like Google and type in whatever it is you’re looking for. You will then get a list of web sites that relate to your search. On these web sites, what do you MOST often find when you get to them? Articles. That is the number 1 way of communicating information to others. Content is what makes the Internet tick…period. Well, somebody has to write all this content. That’s where YOU come in.
Okay,. so how can we go about doing this? How can we actually earn money from this. Directly, we can earn money from article writing by providing a service to various web sites who are looking for content. Not every web site owner has the time to write his own articles and will be willing to pay somebody to do it for them. It’s that simple. All you need to do is advertise your services as a freelancer and you’re in business. Or you can go to a place like Elance.com and get work through them. It’s not hard and it’s pretty steady work.
The indirect way of earning an income through articles is to use them to promote products. I do this as my main source of income. For example, I’ll write an article on some topic and then either submit it to Ezine Articles or put it on my blog. At the end of the article, I’ll make a pitch for a related product, the way I’m going to do at the end of THIS article so you can see how it works. If the content of the article is good, then the person reading it will most likely check out the product that you recommend that relates to the article. And then, if they’re impressed with the product, they buy it and you get credit for the sale. It’s that simple.

I found this article to be very well written and full od information that I can use. I like to write and I have written a few articles but have not submitted them anywhere. Maybe I will edit them a few more times and give it a try

I want to start writing for affiliate programs but my main question is if I put a link at bottom that looks like an affilaite link I wouldnt think people would click on it. So is there a way to embed a link in an article somehow?

I have friends who are doing part time job writing articles. I think it’s not only the income that they earn that drives them to keep on writing articles. It’s because the thought that you’ve helped someone by giving them information regarding things or topics that you’ve written.
